Biden and Harris Delivered Huge Wins — Spread the Word!

It’s time to make lots of noise about the Biden-Harris administration’s major successes — bookmark this page so you’ve got it handy

The Biden-Harris administration delivered enormous advances that moved America forward — but many Americans still don’t know about it. So each of us needs to share the positive news to friends, family, and strangers you meet on the street. Ask them what issues matter to them, concern them, or influence how they vote. Then use our list below to contrast with the horrendous Trump agenda.

Despite MAGA extremists in Congress who refuse to govern, Democrats keep moving forward. When you compare our team with the previous administration (as we do), it’s downright inspiring.

BIG WINS DURING THE BIDEN-HARRIS ADMINISTRATION

ADDED MILLIONS OF JOBS

  • Lowest unemployment rate since WWII (below 4% for nearly two years)

  • 15 million new jobs added during Biden-Harris administration
(2.9 million jobs were LOST under Trump)

  • 800,000 new manufacturing jobs created
(Manufacturing jobs DECREASED by 154,000 under Trump.)

  • Best job market since the 1960s for young people

DECREASED INFLATION AND COST OF LIVING

  • Inflation down since summer of 2022 — 65% decrease
(Trump kicked off inflation with pandemic spending in 2020.)

  • Taxes will decrease by $600 billion during the next four years — despite false assertions that the Biden-Harris administration increased taxes

  • Average worker’s pay is up (and minimum wage is up in many areas), outpacing inflation during the same period — 23% wage increase since January 2020

  • Price gouging on food, which suppliers falsely blamed on production costs, was stopped — resulting from partnership with bipartisan state attorney general

  • Internet costs lowered — for more than 23 million families

  • Consumers saved billions from a crackdown on hidden junk fees and bank fees — reduced cost of airline tickets, banking, insurance, and apartment rentals

  • Student debt canceled for more people than ever in U.S. history — $153 billion canceled for 5 million people so far
(Trump repeatedly proposed ending student loan forgiveness for public workers.)

    ENABLED BOOMING ECONOMY

  • Economy grew vigorously in 2023, with no recession despite dire predictions Annual GDP growth was 4.9% for 3rd quarter and 3.3% for 4th quarter
(This is better than GDP growth under Trump before the pandemic.)

  • The U.S. had faster, stronger post-Covid economic recovery than Europe and Canada

  • National debt came down by trillions — $21.6 trillion in 2020 to $17 trillion in 2023
(Trump increased the debt from $14.4 trillion to $21.6 trillion.)

  • Stock market hit record highs
(The market broke records under Trump. But… it did even better under Biden-Harris.)

  • Home ownership rates for Gen Z are above both millennials and GenX at this point in their lives

  • Farm income has risen significantly

    SUPPORTED ABORTION RIGHTS

  • Biden and Harris support abortion rights and want to restore the right to abortion that was assured by Roe v. Wade

  • He issued executive orders that protect access to abortion, contraception, and the right to travel across state lines for care
(Trump did more than anyone to overturn Roe v. Wade with his Supreme Court appointments. He refuses to speak against a national abortion ban.)

    LOWERED HEALTH CARE COSTS

  • Health insurance cost is down — $800/year reduction for more than 15 million people

  • Stood up to Big Pharma and won: Reduced drug prices for seniors and people with disabilities

  • Capped insulin costs for seniors with Medicare

  • Made hearing aids cheaper and available over-the-counter without a prescription — lowered average cost by as much as $3,000 a pair

  • Saved thousands of dollars a year for 27 million Americans with asthma — pushed manufacturers to cap inhaler cost at $35 per month

    INCREASED HEALTH INSURANCE AVAILABILITY

  • More people have health insurance now than ever in U.S. history — increased by 2.4 million during the Biden-Harris administration
(Millions of now-insured people lacked health insurance under Trump, partly because of his refusal to promote the Affordable Care Act.)

  • A record number of people got health insurance through the Affordable Care Act in 2024 — more than than 21 million
(Trump relentlessly tried to repeal ACA — and still threatens to do so. He promised a replacement and delivered nothing.)

  • Veterans have the largest benefits increase in 30 years.

LOWERED THE CRIME RATE

  • Lowest violent crime rate in 50 years and significant declines in murder — FBI reports violent crime down by 15%, murders by 25%, and robberies by 18%

  • Increased funding for state and local police by $15 billion for crime and gun violence prevention

PROTECTED THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Did more to combat climate change than any U.S. President — passed the most far-reaching climate legislation in U.S. history

  • Cutting U.S. climate pollution in half this decade

  • Passed bills that eliminate more than 10 billion tons of pollutants by 2050 — more than annual emissions of India, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and all of Europe — combined

  • Major increase in new clean energy jobs — 300,000 jobs

  • Huge investment in battery and electric vehicle supply chains — $160 billion

  • Lives saved and health problems reduced by stricter limits on soot from industry — will save an estimated $46 billion in net health benefits by 2032

  • Exports of liquified natural gas paused in 2024 — heeding the call of climate activists

  • Ensuring clean water for all by removing all lead pipes in the next decade

  • More acres of public land were preserved than under any president since Kennedy — more than 41 million acres
(The Brookings Institute cites 74 significant actions by the Trump administration to weaken environmental protection in favor of the fossil fuel industry.)

REBUILT OUR INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Passed the biggest infrastructure bill since Eisenhower, fixing roads, bridges, public transit — 33,000 projects across the U.S.
(Trump promised a trillion-dollar infrastructure upgrade and failed to deliver any infrastructure legislation or improvements.)

SUPPORTED GUN SAFETY

  • Signed first major bipartisan gun violence legislation in 30 years
(Trump gutted restrictions on gun access for people proven to be dangerous; he even stopped efforts to promote child safety devices in gun stores.)

  • Closed the “gun show loophole” — background checks are now required for guns sold by unlicensed dealers

  • Established the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention

PROVIDED WORLD LEADERSHIP

  • Restored respect for the United States on the world stage

  • Strengthened our NATO Alliance - successfully pushed for NATO to welcome Finland and Sweden as members
(Trump stated that he wants to withdraw from NATO. He loudly praises Vladimir Putin, Viktor Orban, and other dictators around the world.)

  • Supported Ukraine against Russian invasion
(Trump will not commit to continued support for Ukraine.)

    OVERSAW PANDEMIC RECOVERY

  • Revived the economy and health care system

  • Fixed massive blocks in the supply chain, making products available again

  • Made vaccines available to everyone, lowering the COVID-19 casualty rate

(Trump delayed his response to COVID, denying the severity of the pandemic while Americans died.)

APPOINTED EXCELLENT JUDGES

  • Biden and Harris have confirmed 200 federal judges, and 1 Supreme Court justice

  • Appointed a record number of Black, Hispanic and AANHPI judges

    SUPPORTED WORKERS AND UNIONS

  • Supported United Auto Workers strike, joining workers on the picket line

  • Signed legislation to save and secure the pensions of hundreds of thousands of union workers and retirees

  • Strengthened the National Labor Relations Board, to create a fairer playing field for unionization
(Trump cut federal workplace safety inspectors to their lowest level in OSHA history, opposed any increase in the federal minimum wage, stacked the NLRB with union-busting lawyers, and was — according to the AFL-CIO “catastrophic for workers.”)

    FOUGHT RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION

  • Narrowed the racial wealth gap by the most in 20 years — 60% increase in Black wealth

  • Signed Respect for Marriage Act, which recognizes same sex and interracial marriage as legitimate in all 50 states
(Trump ally Clarence Thomas wants the Supreme Court to revisit its marriage equality decision.)

  • Invested in historically black colleges — $7 billion
(Trump praised the “good people” who marched in the 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville.)

  • Reversed Trump’s ban on transgender military service

PROTECTED NON-PARTISAN GOVERNMENT

  • Filled the civil service with skilled non-partisan experts — about 4000 positions

  • Rescinded Trump’s executive order that made it possible to fire non-partisan civil servants and replace them with partisan loyalists
(Trump wants to revive an executive order that would allow him to infiltrate the civil service with his supporters.)

AND LET’S NOT FORGET…

  • Biden and Harris are smart, ethical, generous, patriotic Americans who have dedicated their lives to serving their country.
(Trump is the most corrupt and unpatriotic politician in American history. He praised and incited the Jan. 6 insurrection against his own country. He was found guilty of sexually assaulting and defaming E. Jean Carroll. He was found guilty of financial fraud in New York State. He stole top-secret papers, lied to the FBI about it, and gave away national secrets. His businesses and his family members accepted millions from foreign governments while he was in office.)
